POINTE ANNUAL MEETING SETS ATTENDANCE RECORD -- 75% ATTENDANCE BY PERSON OR PROXY
Pointe Owners:
While the nor'easter winds were swirling, the King
Tide's rising, the rain falling, 67 out of 90 unit owners participated
by person or by proxy at the Pointe Annual Meeting Oct. 29.
The budget was ratified, the Amendment to prohibit
sublets from groups such as TAN overwhelmingly passed, and a new Council
was elected: Ann Bryan, Bill Carlisle, & Fred Stiner will serve one more year as no one seems to want this job!
Jim Resch volunteered to head the roof
committee. We had three leaking roof calls on Saturday. His job will
be to first find a qualified inspector who will evaluate the condition
of the roofs, then come up with a phase plan to repair only those areas
that present a substantial current risk of leaking, and then a long
range plan to repair roofs with a cost structure that will not require a special assessment.
Barb Ritgert volunteered to work on The Pointe marketing
effort. Barb is willing to helpl create marketing materials that owners
can use to assist them in renting and/or selling their units. She has
some terrific photos that she has taken and welcomes assistance from
unit owners with a flare for the written word. Email
pointecouncil@gmail.com if you are interested in working with Barb on this effort.
Rob McCann, building captain of 38/39, volunteered to work with Frank Pacelo
in moving forward with litigation against Linder/Verino Pettinaro.
Our case will center on the concealed damages that were discovered
during the remediation project. Frank is trying to find an attorney who
will take the case on contingency.
Thanks again to Sean McShane for doing a terrific job as Landscape Committee chair.
Thanks to Michele Sylvester and Bridget Anderson for assisting Veronica Radalin,
property manager, in the administrative tasks at the Annual Meeting.
Again, thanks to the building captains for working hard to get all the
proxies!
We would love to have someone come forward to take
on Social Chair. The Pointe needs to have some fun -- holiday cocktail
parties, Happy Hours by the pond, whatever the chair could come up with.
Please email pointecouncil@gmail.com or bambryan@aol.com if you have any interest in leading the "let's have some fun" effort.
Regards,
Ann Bryan
President
Pointe Council
